About us

We are a First Lego League (FLL) team who have been competing in the FIRST Lego League Challenge as a team for 5 years. FLL has taught us about many important life skills, and has brought all of us very close. We started as the OGRES, but then found that a smaller team worked better, after many members left. Through FLL, we have met so many fantastic people that have inspired creativity and discovery. We have started and mentored many teams, hoping to inspire others. Last year, for the Cargo Connect season, we made it to the Worlds Championship in Houston. We are humbled by the opportunity to be invited again this year. During this season, we have learned so much about the importance of outreach, not for judges or tournaments, but to expand  and develop our connections and ideas. 

This year alone we have done the following:

- Attended and presented at an Intellectual Property event

- Applied for a provisional patent on last years project

- Hosted 3 different zoom calls to get parents and educators interested in FIRST

- Started 2 FLL teams

- Hosted a Makerspace night at our old elementary school

- Talked to our middle school about FIRST

- Spoke at Valleyview Middle School, to parents about FIRST, and showed their kids how to build robots

- Attended a demonstration about FIRST at Improving alongside Spontaneous Construction

- Spoken to numerous specialists about our project idea

- Developed our YouTube channel, adding tutorials and project videos
